Another example to follow during the time ahead of us.

'Another' example, because the most important example to follow is, of course, the way our King and Saviour, Yahusha HaMashiach, Who is most often referred to as Jesus Christ, lived His life and responded to the people He met.

The way this person, who is often referred to as a 'Church-father', lived his life, is another example, because he was following the example of Yahusha HaMashiach, and helps us understand how to do that.

Understanding this, and knowing how to do this, will become more and more important during the days ahead of us at the moment.

The name of the person I am writing about is Polycarp.

Polycarp was born 65 AD in Smyrna, in what is nowadays known as Turkey.

He lived in the same time period as Irenaeus and Tertullian, who are also referred to as 'Church-fathers', had been a Talmidiy (a Disciple) of Yahuchanon (John), who was a Talmidiy of Yahusha Himself, and had been appointed by Him as an Apostle.

Polycarp died in 155 AD, also in Smyrna, as a martyr, bound and burned at the stake, then stabbed when the fire failed to consume his body.

From his life we can learn the lesson of preparedness to undergo persecution for our King and Saviour, Yahusha HaMashiach, sharing in His sufferings, even unto the point of giving our earthly life for His Name's Sake, as He has been willing to give His Life for us.

With the Beast system rising, and the Mark of the Beast coming into effect, we will be tested to the uttermost. So, be prepared!
